Sky has announced that Anytime is to be replaced with Sky On Demand to coincide with ITV and Channel 5 VOD services becoming available for the first time to Sky customer.
The move was made to make it simpler for customers to find and enjoy programmes from the past seven days, which will include access to the ITV Player and Demand 5.
In January this year Sky announced that, after successful negotiations with other broadcasters, they would soon be able to bring catch up options from all of the major terrestrial stations, including the hugely popular BBC iPlayer.
In order to take advantage of the On Demand service, subscribers must connect their Sky+HD box to a broadband router.
The change is a part of an update to Sky boxes which will also include features like ‘Undelete’ and new tabs for easier navigation.
