Archant bolsters senior digital team with Local World hire

Archant has appointed Local World’s Steve Anglesey to the newly created position of group digital content director with immediate effect.

Prior to Local World, Anglesey worked at Trinity Mirror for seven years, holding senior roles including head of digital business development and publisher of Mirror Group digital.

He was also editor of Mirror.co.uk between 2008 and 2011 and assistant sports editor of the Daily Mirror for five years.

Anglesey will report into Archant’s chief content officer, Matt Kelly, who said: “Steve’s appointment shows our continued commitment to being a relevant, audience-first publisher in our communities, be they geographical or by interest.
