Radio Times, the television listings guide published by BBC Worldwide, is to launch a dedicated film website. Located at www.radiotimes.com/film , the comprehensive guide to film on television, DVD and video will launch next month.
An online version of the Radio Times Guide to Film will allow surfers to search through thousands of film reviews. Writers including Barry Norman and Jonathan Ross will provide weekly columns, and an e-commerce element will allow the purchase on DVD’s, videos, books and soundtracks.
Duncan Swain, the site’s producer, said: “The site is an excellent complementary service to the printed Radio Time Guide to Films, and a product in its own right that we’re continuing to develop, as further products, services and retailers come online. In addition, we’re looking at its potential uses on other interactive platforms.”
