Digital One And RAB Unite In £2m Campaign

The UK’s national digital multiplex, Digital One, has teamed up with the Radio Advertising Bureau to run a £2 million promotional campaign, aimed at raising awareness of digital radio. The on-air campaign will feature 40-second trailers highlighting the benefits of the new medium.

Broadcasting on commercial stations throughout the summer, the ads will deliver a clear message about the advantages of digital radio compared to other digital media. The campaign is designed to coincide with the 7 June launch of the UK’s first regional digital radio stations in London, Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow.

It is also reported that Digital One is in talks with the RAB and other radio bodies to create a Digital Radio Marketing Bureau to create further promotional campaigns for the industry.
