Wavemaker UK elevates Runnacles to chief growth officer

Wavemaker UK has promoted Sian Runnacles from client managing director to chief growth officer.

Runnacles will join Wavemaker’s restructured executive committee which includes CEO Kelly Parker, chief operating officer Katie Lee, chief strategy and planning officer Elliott Millard, chief commercial officer Shil Patel, and chief investment officer Ian Stevens.

Lee previously held the chief growth officer role before she was promoted to chief operating officer in June 2022, following Parker’s promotion to CEO.

Runnacles will report to Parker and lead both the new business and marketing functions in the growth team.

She will be responsible for “unlocking” growth for new and existing clients, and growing the agency’s specialist services including commerce, addressable, SEO, and applied innovation.

Runnacles joined Wavemaker’s predecessor MEC in 2010 as a planning director, and prior to that held planning roles at Dentsu agency Vizeum (now iProspect) and Publicis Groupe agency Starcom MediaVest (now Starcom).
