BBC Science Focus grew its combined print and digital circulation by 88.3% year on year in 2023 to take the lead in the men’s lifestyle category, according to the latest consumer ABC figures.
The magazine more than doubled (+163.2%) its digital circulation to 107,646, despite a continued decline in print circulation (-15.9% to 24,714). It follows similarly impressive digital circulation growth in 2022 (+131.2%).
Print circulations across men’s lifestyle magazines universally declined from 2022. Condé Nast’s GQ remained the largest men’s lifestyle magazine in terms of print circulation, which decreased just 3.1% to 74,387. GQ‘s digital circulation increased 28.2% to 10,703.
Hearst UK’s Men’s Health (+5.8%) and Condé Nast’s Wired (+0.1%) managed to maintain marginal total circulation growth, driven by growth of 47.1% and 30.8% respectively in digital circulation.
