Sony Radio Awards Sees BBC Sweep Board

This year’s Sony Radio Academy Awards, held last night, saw the BBC sweep the board winning 21 of the 32 awards on offer, with BBC Radio 2 winning the station of the year prize. Meanwhile, Xfm’s breakfast DJ, Christian O’Connell, won a hat-trick of prizes showing the success of his irreverent morning show.
