Emap Gets New Consumer Marketing Chief

Emap Simon Stewart has been appointed chief marketing officer of Emap’s consumer brands across magazines, radio, online, mobile and TV.

Stewart, former senior vice president of global development for advertising agency Publicis, will be responsible for Emap brands including Heat, Grazia and Kiss 100.

The appointment of Stewart marks the first time Emap has had a marketer overseeing the whole of its consumer brand portfolio.

He will report to Emap consumer media chief executive Paul Keenan and will spearhead a major programme of change.

Stewart’s appointment comes after a raft of redundancies in the consumer magazines division which followed the recent restructure of Emap consumer media.

Emap recently announced that its pre-tax profits for the year ending March 31 fell 13% to £193 million.
