Ashes To Ashes Ashes To Ashes was the big winner in the 9pm slot last night, with a peak audience of 5.9 million adults (a 27.2% share of the audience).

The hour long show had an average of 5.6 million adult viewers, or a 25.8% share of the audience.

Thursday night is comedy night on BBC Two, although it seems that the viewers are not that interested, with the double bill of That Mitchell And Web Look and The Catherine Tate Show picking up peaks of 1.3 million adults and 1.1 million adults respectively.

Over on ITV1 at 9pm, gritty detective series Trial And Retribution had a peak of 4.3 million adults and an average of 4.2 million.

Meanwhile, Channel 4 was showing Pramface Babies, a documentary which looked at the lives of young mothers in Liverpool. A peak of two million adults tuned in to the show.

There was another helping of UEFA Cup football on Five, as Sporting Lisbon took on Bolton Wanderers.

It was another epic European night, although Bolton, having rested several first team players, were always unlikely to progress, and that is the way it turned out, with a one – nil loss signaling their departure from the competition.

A peak of two million adults watched the match, with an average of 1.4 million staying tuned for all the coverage.
