DMGT Sees Ad Revenues Rise

The Daily Mail and General Trust (DMGT) has announced that its total ad revenues for the five months to February rose by 10%.

This figure includes those of Associated Northcliffe Digital which have risen by 114% year on year (excluding acquisitions).

Underlying revenues increased by 4%, whilst Associated’s newspaper display advertising revenues increased by 4% over the same period.

In its regional press division, DMGT said that Northcliffe Media is continuing to see a gradual improvement in advertising trends, with UK advertising revenues for the five months to February 2007 (excluding Aberdeen Journals which was sold in April 2006) 3% below the comparable period last year.

DMGT added that revenues from digital publishing have risen by 57% over the previous year, largely in the recruitment category.
