Roku brings its Video-on-Demand Evolution Study to the UK
Roku, the popular streaming TV platform, is bringing its Video-on-Demand Evolution Study to the UK for the first time – and the results will be revealed exclusively during a live webcast hosted by The Media Leader on 6 October.
Mike Shaw, director of EMEA ad sales at Roku, will present the data and will be joined by senior media buyers who assess what it means for them, as agencies and brands plan for 2027.
This large-scale consumer study – which sits alongside the Canada and Mexico editions – outlines the state of streaming in the UK.
The data will reveal how many people are TV streamers, how many watch premium ad-supported content and for how long, and the role of the TV home screen in their streaming journey.
The VOD Evolution Study explores consumer sentiment about ad-supported premium video environments, including what they want from advertising and what makes a good ad.
The study also explores attitudes to ad placement and formats, spanning Home Screen to linear/FAST channels, sport, on-demand, interactive and shoppable ads.
Roku believes this study will be a notable contribution to the industry’s understanding of the ad-supported streaming market, with relevance beyond the UK.
Webcast attendees are promised early access to the accompanying White Paper.
