David Beckham Takes To Cabs
![]()
Just in case the populace has not seen enough of David Beckham, between press coverage of the infamous metatarsal and the slew of World Cup related advertising featuring the England captain, in the month leading up to the tournament in Japan and Korea 300 Taxi Media cabs will be carrying pictures of him.
600 superside ads (two per taxi) now feature Beckham wearing Police sunglasses, while additional advertising is carried on interior tip seats. The campaign launched last Wednesday and will run throughout the month.
Andrew Barnett, managing director of Taxi Media, said: “This is the first time that Police sunglasses have used taxis as part of their Outdoor campaign. It seems particularly apt to feature David Beckham, a world-famous British icon on another British icon- the black taxi.”
