MediaKind and Accedo offer joint white-label platform solution for operators
Accedo and MediaKind have launched a joint white-label solution that supports fully branded pay-TV streaming services with less complexity, lower engineering costs, and faster time to market than traditional approaches.
The cloud-based solution already powers the EPICO streaming service at Canadian operator Cogeco, demonstrating its ability to support large-scale commercial deployments. A second operator has committed to deploy within months.
“Operators are looking for a faster, lower-risk path to launching premium streaming services without compromising on quality or flexibility,” declared Shahar Barr, SVP product & marketing at MediaKind, which provides solutions to support live and linear TV and VOD to multiple screens.
“This solution provides a production-ready offering that enables operators to go to market quickly while retaining the ability to innovate and differentiate over time.”
The solution harnesses Accedo’s native application framework and cloud-based application management tools. It also uses MediaKind’s MK.IO Platform for Operators, which handles entitlements, content management and discovery, security, and video delivery.
The new solution supports the end-to-end requirements of pay-TV streaming services delivered to set-top boxes (including Android), connected TV devices (including Fire TV, Apple TV, Roku and Samsung), mobiles and browsers.
Operators can customise branding, user experience, and service configuration without building and maintaining multiple native applications from scratch.
Visitors to IBC2026 (starting Friday) can see live demonstrations of the platform at the Accedo and MediaKind booths.
