The Media Leader (part of the Adwanted Group) has been announced as official media partner for the World Out of Home Organization (WOO) Annual Congress, taking place in London from 3-5 June, with delegates from 37 countries already registered and attendance expected to surpass the previous year’s record.
The congress will coincide with The Media Leader’s Future of OOH week, a dedicated editorial series examining the trends, challenges and opportunities shaping the out-of-home industry.
The London event, held at the Park Lane Hilton, is expected to draw more than 650 attendees from across the global OOH industry.
Among the headline sessions, the leaders of the UK’s three biggest OOH media owners will appear together on a panel for the first time.
Dallas Wiles, co-CEO of JCDecaux, Justin Cochrane, president and CEO outdoor at Bauer Media, and Global chief commercial officer Mike Gordon will face questions from WOO president Tom Goddard on the state of UK OOH, and whether the industry is doing enough to protect and grow its position.
Goddard said: “It’s a huge coup for WOO to get these three on the same panel, discussing some of the most pressing issues in UK Out of Home. What they say will provide an invaluable insight into the industry in the UK and, you never know, may even be the trigger for some much-needed, new initiatives.”
The congress will be structured around four main content pillars: adtech and audience measurement, sustainability, legislation and regulation, and promoting OOH through creativity.
Jean-Francois Decaux, co-chief executive of JCDecaux, has been announced as the opening keynote speaker, with further programme announcements expected in the coming weeks.
Nigel Clarkson, UK MD of Adwanted, said: “We are very excited to partner with WOO at the annual global congress, given our involvement as a business in the OOH space. The opportunity for global collaboration and partnership to grow the channel is one that we are very happy to support”
WOO’s annual awards will be presented in London, recognising outstanding work and leadership across the global OOH sector.
