IPCtx Makes Marketing Promotion

IPC has promoted its head of marketing for TV listings division IPCtx to marketing director. Jemima Ransome, who has recently led both the advertising agency and below-the-line agency pitches for the company, will now join the tx Board and take on full responsibility for marketing activity across a portfolio consisting of What’s On TV, TV & Satellite Week, TVTimes and Soaplife.

Ransome, who joined the marketing department at IPCtx in 1998, said she was “thrilled” to be taking on the role. It looks set to be a tough challenge, as the sector, while healthy, is also very competitive at the moment, and dominated by the spectacular growth of Emap’s Heat. In the last set of ABC results, three of the four IPCtx titles saw year on year falls in circulation, showing that Ransome has some challenges ahead:
