IPA Looks To Modernise Finance Function

The IPA has appointed its first finance director, Ian Finlayson. He succeeds treasurer Ted Goater, who left at the end of last year.
Hamish Pringle, the IPA’s director-general, said: “We’re looking to Ian to modernise the IPA finance function and to help deliver even better value for money to the membership.”
Finlayson will take on the financial management of the Institute, with particular reponsibility for modernising the IT systems and processes, tax and treasury requirements and growing the IPA’s Affinity Schemes. He will also be secretary to the IPA Finance Policy Group and Finance Committee and represent the IPA with agency members and establish collaborative working relationships with their finance directors
Finlayson is a chartered accountant who joins from First Telecom, where he was finance manager.
