Total digital listening now comprises more than three-quarters (76%) of overall radio listening by platform share, according to the latest Rajar figures.

Share of DAB listening jumped one percentage point year-on-year to 43.1%, while total online listening, comprising website/app-based listening and smart speaker listening, grew 1.9 percentage points year-on-year.

The share of smart speaking listening grew by 1.2 percentage points from Q1 2025 to now, comprise 18.8% of radio listening.

The growth aligns with a 9m year-on-year increase in total smart speaker listening hours to 190m.

Total digital listening hours grew 1.6% year-on-year to 765m.

The only digital audio medium to register a year-on-year decline in listening in Q1, both by share (-0.2 percentage points) and hours (-3m), was DTV.
