Geers Gross Profits

Geers Gross defied the pessimistic pundits who see only doom and gloom in the advertising industry by reporting an increase in pre-tax profits of 97%, from £161,000 to £317,000 for the first six months of the year. The increase in profits was attributed to a change in commercial strategy and tighter financial controls. The company has diversified into other areas of marketing services, and chairman Bob Gross commented that these areas now provide about 30% of revenue. In response to the announcement Gross commented: “We are really terrific.”
