SMG has announced that Jamie Mathieson and Lord Waheed Alli are to join the company’s board of directors as non-executive directors.
Jamie Mathieson (52) is the executive chairman of Brewin Dolphin Holdings PLC. He was previously a non-executive director of Scottish Radio Holdings until its sale to Emap, and is currently a non-executive director of AIM VCT2.
Lord Waheed Alli (42) is currently chairman of Chorion and of AIM-listed Asos. He is also a director of Olga Television. He was previously managing director of Planet 24 Productions and managing director of Carlton Television Productions.
Last week, SMG called off merger talks with UTV and appointed Rob Woodward, former Channel 4 commercial director, as its new chief executive.
