Amazon is apparently in the process of developing a new generation of its Kindle Fire tablet, which is thought to be due for release in Q3 this year, according to All Things D.
Expected to be launched around the same time as Apple’s “smaller” iPad, the new product will be thinner and lighter than the present model.
In addition to this, its screen will feature an aspect ratio of 1280 x 800 pixels (compared to 1024 x 600 curently), which should result in a sharper display.
It has been speculated that Amazon will announce the new tablet in the near future, with rumours that the next Kindle Fire could be presented on 31 July.
