The latest round of NRS figures, for the period July to December 1996, show that Your Garden magazine has achieved the greatest rise in readership figures, with a 55% change. FHM however, which reported annual figures, achieved the highest year on year rise of 662,000 new readers, an increase of 156.5%. TV & Satellite Week saw the biggest drop in readership with a fall of 31.81%.

In the women’s monthlies fashion sector Good House Keeping remains the most popular title despite seeing a 6.32% drop in readership during the period July to December 1996. Vogue, Elle, Company and Tatler have all seen an increase of between 11 and 19.51% in readership.

Among the women’s weeklies sector only Take A Break, with an increase of 0.43% year-on-year, Woman’s Weekly, with a 1.79% increase and Hello, with a 16.36% rise, added readers. Just Seventeen recorded the biggest drop, falling 30.68% to 506,000.
