Times Newspapers has confirmed that it is lodging a formal complaint with the ABC and “will take legal action if necessary” over its dispute concerning the Telegraph‘s circulation figures.
The row first erupted last month *Telegraph To Hold Meeting With ABC when, as a result of petitioning by Times Newspapers, the ABC excluded the Telegraph‘s November sales figures because some were sold on a subscription basis. After the Daily Telegraph threatened legal action the ABC decided it would include subscription sales as full price sales *ABC And Telegraph Reach Agreement. It is this decision which has caused the Times to issue the threat.
