World of Interiors is the latest Conde Nast publication to go on-line. Like most of its sister sites, this interior designer’s delight has a section that is updated daily. This means that you feel like you are doing more than standing in your local news-agents browsing through the pages of the magazine.
The site is packed with interesting features, exhibition and auction news and a directory. The directory list a range of stockists, products and interior design services.
Unfortunately this site does not exploit the Internet media to its full potential. It is easy to navigate, but it is text based and reading the long articles can become very tedious. There are very few photographs or graphics. Surely an interior design title should be based around visuals not text.
The site has only been up and running for a few days, hopefully the visual side is still in development. The World of Interiors on the Internet could do with applying some of its own design advice to its Web pages.
