Increased Revenue For Nynex

Nynex CableComms this afternoon released yearly financial figures which show that total revenue has increased by 78% year-on-year to £151 million.

While cable penetration increased marginally from 19.8% to 20.6% and customers increased 36% to 268,519, the company is still in the red to the tune of £63.1m. This is an improvement however on 1995’s figure of £72.1m.

Cable TV revenue increased by 61% to £62.4m and churn remained relatively stable at 29.6% compared to the previous year’s 29.4%. Average monthly revenue per customer rose from £21.59 to £22.83.

Nynex provides cable services to 16 franchise areas covering approximately 2.7 million homes and 167,500 businesses. This represent 15% of all cable homes.
