Stella Artois have signed Channel 5’s first movie sponsorship deal.
The £1.3 million deal will run from Channel 5’s launch on March 30 for six months. Motive Communications and HH&S negotiated the deal.
This is the latest in a series of film deals. Channel 5 has recently signed with 20th Century Fox International TV, MCA Universal and Columbia Tri-Star.
Stella Artois will be sponsoring Channel 5’s regular 9pm film strand. This is hoped to be the channel’s most successful segment.
Susan Purcell, marketing manager for Stella Artois, said: “Movies form a major part of our core target market’s behaviour and Channel 5 represents a unique terrestrial broadcast opportunity to build an on-going dialogue in such a popular media environment.”
