The £12m merger between TBWA and Simons Palmer Clemmow Johnson *(Newsline 23/01/97) appears to be faltering, according to a report in Campaign.
It is said that a board meeting to finalise the merger details broke down after there were disagreements over the future role of key members of staff. It is thought that Andrew Ward and Simon Hunter, two senior account managers, have resigned as a result of this.
The board meeting has apparently been rescheduled with the hope that the difficulties can be ironed out.
