BT Targets Light Internet Users

BT has launched a new pricing option for Internet users who want on-line services but are not expecting to spend long periods on-line.

Called Plan 180, it gives three hours access to BT Internet for £4.70 per month. BT say that, at the equivalent of 13p per day, this is one of the cheapest and most flexible access services available in the UK. Although this equates to just 45 minutes per week, BT believes that this will be enough time for users to send and receive e-mails, reference a range of educational sites, check holiday and travel information, and shop for goods and services. If more time on-line is required then customers can sign up for an extra £2.35 per hour spent surfing.
