Classic FM Spruces Up For Spring

Classic FM will get a new schedule this Spring with more music, a new feel to weekday mornings and new slots at the weekend. The changes, which begin on 1 April, will include:

  • new weekday breakfast show times for Mike Read and Henry Kelly
  • a new Hall of Fame Hour, presented by Mike Read at 9am on weekday mornings
  • two weekend afternoon programmes for Margaret Howard
  • more Classic gardening: a new Saturday teatime slot for Classic Gardening Forum, with extra gardening tip specials from Professor Stefan Buczacki on weekend mornings
  • an extra hour for Lunchtime Concerto, presented by Jane Jones
  • an extra hour of music with late night weekday presenter Michael Mappin

As soon as the Government calls a General Election, Susannah Simons will host 60 minute election specials in the run-up to polling day from 12 noon to 1pm on weekdays.
