News International has announced that the Sun and the News Of The World are to go online with the launch of a new mass-market Internet provider, LineOne.
The company behind the service is Springboard Internet Services, a joint venture between BT and News International, owner of the Sun and the News of the World. Rupert Gavin, BT’s Director of Internet and Multimedia Services, said: “We believe that LineOne will make a substantial contribution to attracting new users and will help accelerate even further the popularity of the Internet in the UK.”
