Northcliffe Relaunches Carmarthen Citizen
Northcliffe Newspaper Group’s Carmarthen Citizen has been relaunched in a move aimed at providing more of a complement to its sister paid-for title the Carmarthen Journal .
The free newspaper will now be called the Carmarthen Herald and will increase its distribution by 500 copies to almost 7,700. This is expected to increase again to 10,000 copies by May in response to new housing developments. The title will also use more colour and Northcliffe expects that this, together with an improved editorial, will enhance its advertising platform.
The Camarthen Journal and the Camarthen Herald provide coverage of more than 95% of the area’s adult population.
