Channel 5 has now come to an agreement with most of the UK cable operators *Cables Crossed With Channel 5, who have agreed to carry Channel 5. This means that an extra 500,000 outside the channel’s terrestrial transmission areas will now be able to receive the new channel.
5 has still not managed to secure extra distribution via the Astra satellite system *Channel 5 Gets Bonus Viewers, but this matter is still under consideration.
Meanwhile, Channel 5 launches on Sunday and has revealed that its first advert will be for the perfume Chanel No5.
