Mohammed Al-Fayed has threatened to shut-down Liberty Radio, the London station he launched last November *963 Liberty Radio Launch Date Announced. A report in The Sunday Times claims that the Harrod’s chairman has told the Radio Authority that he will take drastic action unless it permits him to use more powerful transmitters or a more attractive frequency to help the ailing radio station to boost its ratings.
Liberty Radio is due to make a statement regarding this matter this afternoon. Further information will appear on Newsline when it is obtained.
