MAID, now called the Dialog Corporation after its takeover of Knight-Ridder, has reported a fall in its losses from £2.4m in Q3 1996 to £592,000 for Q3 1997. Revenue however showed good growth – up 42% to £7.4m.
Michael Mander, chairman of the Dialog Corporation, said that the integration plan for MAID and Knight-Ridder is “well under way, with a significant proportion of the cost saving measures already effected.” Mander believes that the company will enter 1998 with a “clear strategy in place” to build on its position as a market leader.
