BSkyB prepping Ultra-HD

Paul Kane, BSkyB’s head of product research engineering, has revealed to a conference in London that the company is currently monitoring the developments of Ultra-HD. Kane also said that the technology was a central part of his own R&D role, reports Advanced-television.

“Ultra-HD is the next evolution of high-definition, with four times the resolution of HD. For us we are looking at the impact will have on our business.

“It is not something we see happening for the next couple of years but it is going to come and we in the business must understand how it will impact us.”
