Video Networks, the video-on-demand company, has launched the UK’s first on-demand electronic TV newspaper in Hull. The company, in conjunction with the Hull Daily Mail, is providing local news, sport, features and classified advertising for the virtual newspaper. Video Networks already has a video-on-demand trial in Hull *Video-On-Demand Trial In Hull. Subscribers to this service will now be able to access the local virtual paper on their TV screens, via their set top box.
Video Networks is said to be planning to launch the service nationally in the autumn.
