November saw yet another impressive month for the BBC iPlayer

The BBC’s popular catch up service saw more than 207 million requests over November, marking the second time that requests have past 200 million.

Lord Sugar’s mini version of his business reality show proved to be very popular with viewers using the service – episode one of Young Apprentice was the most watched TV programme with 1.2 million requests. The show appeared four times in the top twenty requested shows in November, with popular family adventure Merlin featuring three times.

In total there were 167 million requests for TV programmes and 40 million for radio shows. Catching up on content through computers continued to be the most popular form of accessing the iPlayer with 103 million requests (50%). Mobiles devices was next (14%) followed by tablets (10%) and TV platform operators (such as Sky On Demand) at 14%.

Only 2% of request came through Connected TVs, totalling 4 million.
