Paul Twivy, the former Bates Dorland chief executive, has reached an out-of-court settlement with his old employer.
Twivy was claiming unfair dismissal against Bates, saying that a promise to make him chairman was reneged upon by Michael Bungey, chairman of Bates Worldwide. A court hearing was threatened *Court Hearing For Ex-Dorlands Chief, but the announcement of an agreement this week means that this will not take place. It is unknown what figure was arrived at to placate Twivy, though it is reported that it was in the region of £300,000.
