The ITC is inviting applications for a local delivery franchise for Consett and Stanley; the area contains around 37,000 homes.
Applicants must specify the annual cash bid, by which they will supplement the revenue payable to the Exchequer. If there is more than one application, which is judged to be satisfactory, the franchise will be awarded to the highest bidder.
Applications must be submitted to the ITC by noon 14 July 1997.
