Record Results For Grampian
The Scottish ITV broadcaster Grampian has this afternoon announced financial results for the year ended 28 February which show pre-tax profits of £11.82 million, up 24% from last year. The figure received a considerable boost however from the sale of Scot FM to the Independent Radio Group for £4.66m. Turnover was up slightly at £23.558m, compared to £23.384m last year.
Grampian’s sales house TSMS was congratulated by chairman Calum MacLeod for raising ad revenue by 5.1%, which is above the ITV Network average.
Grampian also confirmed reports that ITV would be launching ITV2, a digital channel which would complement the existing service.
