It is expected today that United News & Media will officially accept Granada’s £11.75 offer price for its 14% stake in Yorkshire-Tyne Tees Television. Granada, which launched its takeover bid for YTTV in June (subscribers see Granada Confirms YTTV Interest), now needs to acquire the shares held by the remaining minority shareholders. There had been speculation that shareholders had considered the £11.75 offer too low and would resist the takeover. This now seems unlikely.
