The MEP Ria Oomen-Ruijten’s draft report presented for the European Parliament’s Second Reading Opinion on unit pricing, was adopted by the EP on 18 February. The directive would make it obligatory for both the sales price and the price per unit of measure for all products (except for products marketed without packaging) to be indicated. Small businesses would be given a six-year transition period.
