Laser Becomes Granada Mediasales
ITV sales house, Laser, has unveiled its new identity as Granada Mediasales. The change of name and logo is designed to associate the sales operation with the ‘strength of the Granada name’, according to Mick Desmond, chief executive.
The new branding was developed by Manchester-based creative agency, Tucker Clarke Williams. An advertising campaign will officially launch the new name to the media community shortly.
Desmond said: “This is part of a bold move to create greater harmony in the branding of Granada Media companies. It is also a natural progression since Granada now owns four of the five licences for whom we sell airtime.” The company sells TV airtime and sponsorship for LWT, Yorkshire, Tyne Tees, Border and Granada Television.
At the same time Laser Satellite and Cable becomes Granada Mediasales Satellite and Cable.
