Cabal Defends Front As Nationwide Pulls Advertising
Cabal Communications has defended its just-launched lads’ mag, front, following reports that Nationwide Building Society had decided to drop out of the advertising schedule. It is understood that Nationwide thought that there was too high a sexual element running through the title.
Cabal says that discussions with the building society were only at a preliminary stage and that Nationwide is waiting to see how the magazine ‘evolves’.
front was planned to aim for boys in their teenage years, but the first issue, out last week (see First Issue Review – Front), seemed more strongly orientated towards the 18+ market with its soft-porn approach.
