Portsmouth & Sunderland Confident In Face Of Economic Downturn

Regional newspaper and convenience store group Portsmouth & Sunderland has reported a 62% leap in pre-tax profits and said it was well placed to cope with an economic slowdown.

The publisher of newspapers such as the Portsmouth News and the Sunderland Echo , said it relied less on recruitment advertising than many rivals, meaning it would not be as damaged by any future recession.
