Border TV Rebuffs Takeover Approach
Border TV has confirmed this afternoon that it has been approached by Scottish Radio Holdings with a takeover offer, and that it has rejected the proposal and is no longer involved in any talks.
Border recently maintained that it was in a strong position to remain an independent company (see Border Profits Down To £2m), and managing director, Peter Brownlow, today told Newsline that it was not soliciting takeover offers of any kind.
Perhaps best known as the independent ITV licence holder, Border’s radio division – Border Radio Holdings – also now controls three regional radio licences.
