New Guardian Football Website Kicks Off
The Guardian is preparing to launch a new football website, titled Football Unlimited (http://www.footballunlimited.co.uk), with the kick off of the new football season.
The site is part of a new “unlimited” brand which the Guardian is launching, the rest of which it is planning to roll out this autumn. It is a step up from the present football.guardian site (http://football.guardian.co.uk) in the sense that it is bigger and covers all the matches in the UK. As well as profiling clubs and players, the site will also feature Football Unlimited Network (FUN) (see Newsline).
Paul Kelso, internet sports editor, said: “Football Unlimited is a real leap for the Guardian‘s online coverage of football. We will be covering all the football that counts, from the Premiership down. With FUN, we can provide credible coverage of the lower divisions. In this way Football Unlimited captures the passion and enthusiasm of the genuine supporter while continuing to provide the high quality comment and analysis for which the Guardian is reknowned.”
