Channel 5 has quadrupled the power to its transmitter in Croydon, which gives it the same broadcasting reach as its four terrestrial competitors. As a result, it has near doubled its average share of viewing in London.
This power surge comes just before the kick-off of a £500,000 press and radio campaign due to start on 20 August, and signals the channel’s intention to have another shot at capturing London viewers.
