AMV Pre-Tax Profits Up By 20%
Abbott Mead Vickers revealed its interim financial results today for the first half of 1998, which showed that pre-tax profit was up 20% this half of the year, to £7.32 million.
Earnings per share also displayed an impressive rise of 23%, increasing to 6.21p and turnover rose to £216.63 million, a rise of 4%.
Chairman, Peter Mead, commented on the results: “I am pleased to announce that we have achieved significant growth in the first half of 1998. Our advertising and media businesses, AMV, BBDO and New PHD, also achieved impressive performances as a result of significant new business wins and improving markets.”
