The release of Cordiant Communication’s (the global creative communications group) interim financial results revealed an increase in pre-tax profits of 11.6%, up to £9 million. Earnings per share have risen to 2.2p from 2.1p (a 16.7% increase at constant exchange rates) and an increase of 3.9% in revenues was reported.
Michael Bungey, chief executive of Cordiant, commented: “CCG has made a tremendous start to the year with record new business wins. We reaffirm our goals of revenue growth at least in line with the market, and of achieving a ten percent operating margin of 1999. Further significant progress towards these goals will be made in the second half.”
