CIA Group PLC is proposing to change the name of its holding company and Stock Exchange quote to Tempus Group PLC. This is aimed at avoiding confusion between it and the group’s core operational brand CIA Medianetwork, as the Group continues its global expansion.
Commenting on the strategy behind the proposed name change, which will be voted on by shareholders at the group’s AGM on May 22, CIA chairman Chris Ingram said: “We are already at the stage where we have a number of separately-branded companies in the group and envisage this number will increase as we continue to grow our market position and extend our know-how across the media communications arena.”
Tempus is the Latin word for time – a word which CIA felt aptly described its business of media planning and buying.
